Maruti Suzuki India has announced the export of its millionth made-in-India car from the Mundra Port in Gujarat. An Oxford Blue-coloured Dzire sedan left for Chile from the Mundra Port, which mainly serves as the shipment gateway for Maruti Suzuki India’s exports to Latin American, Far Eastern and European markets.

Commenting on the milestone, Kenichi Ayukawa, managing director and CEO, Maruti Suzuki India, said, “Within a decade of commencement of exports from Mundra, we achieved the significant milestone of shipping one millionth car. At Maruti Suzuki, we have always aligned our exports strategy to keep pace with the changing market scenario. Currently, Maruti Suzuki’s export range includes 14 models with the Alto K10, Celerio, Baleno, Ignis and Dzire taking a prominent share. Maruti Suzuki also exports vehicles from Mumbai port.
