MG Motor India expands network in Hyderabad, targets 400 touchpoints in 270 cities

Carmaker expands its network in Hyderabad to three facilities and in Telangana to 16; aims to expand all-India network from the existing 330 facilities in 157 cities to 400 in 270 cities.

MG Motor India expands network in Hyderabad, targets 400 touchpoints in 270 cities

MG Motor India has expanded its retail sales and service network in Hyderabad. On August 18, the car and SUV manufacturer opened three more touchpoints in the city of Hyderabad. The two new dealerships sport premium interiors and a digital environment. The newly inaugurated dealerships and a workshop are in Kukatpally and LB Nagar respectively.

Commenting on the inauguration, Gaurav Gupta, Deputy Managing Director, MG Motor India, said: "Our commitment to fortify our network stands unwavering. The last five years have given us good headway, and we have established a robust sales and service network across the country, with 16 touchpoints in Telangana. Telangana offers a market potential for SUVs and EV, and customers can experience all our products in these segments including the recently launched Comet EV, Gloster Blackstorm Edition and ZS EV Exclusive Pro."

MG Motor India currently operates in 330 touchpoints in 157 cities and aims to extend it to 400 touchpoints in 270 cities across India. The company, which has its manufacturing facility in Halol, Gujarat, has an annual production capacity of 120,000 vehicles and 3,000 employees. It currently retails five products – the Hector, Gloster, Astor, ZS EV and the recently launched Comet EV.

Since FY2020, MG Motor India has sold a total of 164,776 units. In the first four months of the ongoing fiscal, the carmaker has sold 17,990 units, up 24% year on year (April-July 2022: 14,532 units).
