Mahindra Two Wheelers’ (MTWL) Gusto 125 scooter, which was initially launched in the southern states of India, is now to be sold in eight new states – Gujarat, Delhi, Maharashtra, Goa, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Chandigarh and Rajasthan before being rolled out across the rest of the country.
The Gusto scooter initially featured with a 110cc engine. As 125cc scooters account for around 13-14 percent of the overall Indian scooter segment and expected to touch 20-25 percent in a couple of years, MTWL then launched the updated 125cc Gusto in March this year.
Some of the Gusto 125’s highlights include adjustable seat, remote flip key, find-me lamps and 12-inch wheels with tubeless tyres. Apart from the scooter’s phased rollout in other parts of the country, the company is also targeting exports to markets like Nepal, Sri Lanka and Africa.
The vehicle will be available in two variants – Vx and Dx – with prices given below. With the new scooter, Mahindra is trying to make the most of the speedy growth in the segment.
