Honda announces India-specific brand identity, unveils 7 new models

Honda has announced a strong market gameplan for its two-wheelers in India. Aligning with Honda’s global vision and recognising India as the centre of global two-wheeler business for the coming times, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, has adopted Honda’s global brand slogan ‘The Power of Dreams’ in India. Plus a new India-specific brand identity ‘Sach Kardenge Sapne’.

HMSI gave a glimpse of its upcoming product strategy by unveiling seven new India-specific two-wheelers across the motorcycle and scooter segments. These include the 110cc mass motorcycle Dream Yuga, sporty performance motorcycle CBR 150R, new 2012 CB Shine, new 2012 CBR 250R, new 2012 Dio automatic scooter. The big bikes comprise the VT 1300CX and new CBR 1000RR Fireblade.

Honda expects the 110cc Dream Yuga to do well in the commuter market. The designed for India bike, which develops 9bhp at 7500rpm, is claimed to deliver mileage of 72 kilometres per litre. Other highlights include tubeless tyres/tuff-up tube options, viscous air filter and a maintenance-free battery,
