.
The 10th edition of the French automotive aftermarket show, Equip Auto, will be held in Paris from October 13-18. It will cover areas like vehicle diagnostics, car lighting systems, low emission motorisation, electric vehicles and spare parts. However, the focus this year is on ‘Electro mobility’ with the organisers aiming to define the future potential of electric vehicles, as well as their challenges and opportunities. According to Mario Fiems, director, Equip Auto, “We are an aftermarket-oriented exhibition and are keen to address the challenging issues facing automotive companies. Over the years the show has focussed on both the business and technology challenges facing the industry and this year we will have over 1600 direct exhibitors from 43 countries. We are a truly international marketplace for the industry and are expecting over 120,000 visitors to attend.” Nine Indian companies are exhibiting at the show and include Hindustan Expo, Turbo Bearings, Lamina International, Garima Global, Mansons International, Bengal Industries, Stork Rubber Products, Stumpp Schuele & Somappa and Shradha Exports. The CII and ACMA are likely to participate in the event as well. “As an international event, Equip Auto offers Indian visitors a chance to meet the right suppliers,” affirms Fiems. Other participants at the show include Renault, Michelin, and the European Consortium for Electric Vehicles. By Darius Lam
