Renault India Continues Growth Trend with May Sales Increase
Manufacturer marks nine straight months of wholesale gains and substantial cumulative volume growth
Renault India registered passenger vehicles sales of 4113 units in the month of May 2026, a year-on-year increase of 64% from May 2025's 2502 units. This marked the French carmaker's ninth-consecutive month of wholesale volume growth, maintaining an upward commercial trajectory that began in September 2025.
According to official VAAHAN registration data, Renault also stood as one of few passenger vehicle manufacturers in India to achieve positive retail sales growth during May 2026. This performance contributed to a cumulative wholesale volume of 38,225 units between September 2025 and May 2026, representing a 46% expansion compared to the same nine-month period in the previous year.
Renault said that the multi-month sales increase comes amidst highly competitive conditions in the Indian automotive market. The company continues to anchor its operations around adapting its localized product availability and distribution to sustain baseline demand from domestic buyers.
