Bridgestone India launches Potenza S001 and Turanza T001 in India
While the Potenza S001 is meant for high-performance cars, the Turanza T001 targets a broad range of cars in the Indian market.
Bridgestone India has launched two new flagship tyres – Potenza S001 and Turanza T001.
The company says the new Potenza S001, which is targeted at high performance cars and sports cars, offers optimal balance of function and performance maintaining stability, regardless of the road surface or how extreme the cornering. It targets high-performance car owners and sport car owners who enjoy superior performance of Bridgestone’s global flagship products.
Meanwhile, the new Turanza T001 offers maximum ride comfort and superior performance, especially for long distance touring and higher speeds. It targets a broad range of vehicles, from mid-sized models and compact cars up to large premium sedans, with a line-up covering all popular sizes including larger rim dimensions and higher speed ratings.
The Potenza S001’s highlights include a multi-performance block, 60deg slanted lug, GUTT II stimulation straight grooves, a semi-slick centre rib and a block-and-slick combination. The Turanza T001’s features include a noise reduction groove, high-angle tread blocks, nano Pro-Tech tread compound, and FCP tyre profile. Apart from these, it also has 5-pitch variable tread blocks for quieter ride, slim high bead filler for better balance for handling and ride comfort and wide main groove that minimises the chance of hydroplaning,
While Potenza S001 tyres will be available in 12 sizes, ranging from 17 inches to 20-inch rim diameters, Turanza T001 tyres will be available in 11 sizes, in 15 inches to 18-inch rim diameters and are designed to fit many popular vehicles in the Indian market.
