AMW opens new dealership in Panvel, consolidates network in Maharashtra
November 29, 2013: AMW Motors has expanded its presence in the Mumbai, Panvel and Navi Mumbai regions with the opening of its new state-of-the-art 3S ( sales, service and spares) dealership, S S Automobiles in Panvel.

The modern, fully equipped facility was inaugurated by Anirudh Bhuwalka, MD and CEO. A Ramasubramanian, president (HCV) and R N Rao, director (marketing), AMW, and Hardeep Singh MD, S S Automobiles, were also present on the occasion.
The region is a major market for haulage of general cargo, tankers and tractor-trailers as well as tippers for the construction and roadbuilding sectors. The Mumbai- Kalamboli- Panvel belt is among India’s largest goods transportation markets in the M&HCV segment, accounting for 15 percent of all India volumes. Discerning operators are moving upwards in terms of performance parameters like fuel efficiency, payload carrying capacity, drivability, grade ability and enhanced features of comfort and safety. According to AMW, its vehicles score on all above factors and the opening of the new dealership will help strengthen its presence across the region, as its products cover applications in 16, 25, 31, 35, 40 and 49-tonne categories.
Commenting on the opening of this new service dealership, Bhuwalka said “AMW products and services have always offered customers added value and better return on investment and our partnership with S S Automobiles will strengthen our capability to reach out to customers in this important region.”
The new facility will provide customers a full range of services including vehicle sale, financing assistance, maintenance and repair, spare parts support and 24x7 assistance through AMW’s call centre.
AMW is India's third largest manufacturer of heavy commercial vehicles and currently has 123 dealerships and over 1,500 touch points. This network includes sales and service centres, authorized service outlets, mobile vans, workshops and a 24x7 helpline called 'AMW Seva' which ensures a rapid response to customer needs.
The company’s fully integrated manufacturing facility in Bhuj, Gujarat, has a planned capacity of 50,000 commercial vehicles per annum. The facilities include a fully integrated assembly line, contemporary cab and paint shops and world class testing facilities. AMW's 200-seat research centre focuses on R&D of new products and technologies that impact performance characteristics, safety, environment and comfort.
