TVS, which is looking to further accelerate its exports, has launched the NTorq Race XP in Nepal at an introductory price of Rs 305,900.

TVS Motor Company, which is looking to further accelerate its exports, has launched the TVS NTorq Race XP in Nepal, one of its key global markets.

TVS has in the first five months of FY2023 exported 469,620 two-wheelers. The Chennai-based company is India's No. 2 two-wheeler exporter after Bajaj Auto.

As in India, TVS is looking to ride the growing demand for 125cc scooters in India The NTorq 125 Race XP is the only scooter in the 125cc segment to develop more than 10 PS power (10.2 PS at 7500rpm) in Nepal. The snazzy scooter, which is powered by a Race Tuned Fuel Injection (RT-Fi) engine, also generates 10.8 Nm torque at 5500rpm torque.

Users have the option of choosing between two riding modes –  Race mode and Street mode – at the flick of a switch. The Race mode allows riders to experience the accentuated performance of the scooter on highways, with a top speed of 98kph and top-notch acceleration. The Street mode, which is designed for ideal city commute and traffic conditions, stretches fuel economy.

The NTorq Race XP looks very different compared to the rest of its siblings. It has a signature headlamp and LED tail-lamps and sports a race-inspired colour theme and graphics as also sporty  red wheels. The model comes in a tri-tone colour theme and is being sold at an introductory price of Rs 305,900 in Nepal.

The tech-laden NTorq, which is equipped with TVS’s SmartXonnect Bluetooth-enabled technology paired with an exclusive TVS Connect mobile App, available on Android and iOS platforms, gets a Voice Assist feature on the Race XP model. This enables users to engage with the scooter through voice commands. The App will now accept over 15 different voice commands, ranging from launching navigation to changing modes, through any connected Bluetooth listening device.
