Schwing Stetter displays Made-in-India products at Bauma
Schwing Stetter for the first time displayed Indian products at Bauma.
Schwing Stetter India (SSI), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Schwing, a $1 billion (Rs 6,956 crore) German Concrete machinery manufacturer and a part of XCMG group, recently participated at Bauma, Germany. At the event, Schwing Stetter India showcased three of its key products, which were indigenised and conceptualised for the Indian market – Trailer Pump – SP 1420, SP 1807 and Self Loading Mixer – SLM 4000.
The company also showcased some of the Schwing Stetter new product development and innovations including a truck mounted concrete pump S36X Direct Drive, S47SXIII, S65SXF, concrete truck-mixer AM10 EDrive and mobile concrete batching plant M3.0. In addition, the 111,000th truck-mixer, AM10 EDrive with a design to match the anniversary was also part of the exhibit.
The German company says Made in India machines are not new to the export market as Schwing Stetter India already has machines sold to East Africa, West Africa, South Africa, South Asia and South East Asia.
At present, Schwing Stetter India is responsible for the whole of the South East Asian territory, 10 countries apart from the SAARC nations and East Africa. Going forward, the Indian subsidiary is expected to handle many more countries in the African continent. It is also associated with some of the prestigious projects in the export market with 3000 plus machines working.
Speaking about the participation at Bauma 2019 at Munich, V G Sakthikumar, managing director, Schwing Stetter India said, “Bauma 2019 at Munich was a tremendous success for Schwing Stetter India. The fact that Indian products were displayed for the first time attracted many visitors. Most of them are first time visitors to Bauma who appreciated SSI for its quality product finish and range of equipment.”
