Italian supercar maker Lamborghini has showcased the Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce at the Shanghai Motor Show. With this, the supercar, whose production run is limited to 600 units worldwide, makes its Asian debut.

‘‘After the worldwide debut last March at the Salon de l’Automobile in Geneva, we present here in Asia the Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce. This new car represents the perfect combination of Lamborghini’s expertise in lightweight engineering and sophisticated technical features. The new Aventador LP 750-4 is the most exclusive, pure and emotional car in our current model range,’’ said Stephan Winkelmann, president and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini.

The new Aventador Superveloce employs enhanced lightweight engineering, including significant use of carbon fibre, to further reduce its weight by 50kg. The naturally

aspirated V12 engine’s power is increased to 750bhp, resulting in a power-to-weight-ratio of 2.03 kg/hp. The Superveloce accelerates from 0 to 100kph in 2.8 seconds and goes on to reach a top speed of more than 350kph.

This year marks Lamborghini’s 10-year anniversary of entering the China market, which is the world’s second largest market for the carmker.
