Chinese battery major selects Siemens Xcelerator software to drive manufacturing innovation

Siemens Digital Industries Software has announced that Tianneng Battery Group Co has selected the Siemens Xcelerator portfolio of industry software to help it drive innovation and enable digital manufacturing in new battery production.
Set up in 1986, Tianneng is a prominent leader in China’s domestic battery industry, focused on power battery and energy storage battery sectors, specifically catering to electric light vehicles. The collaboration with Siemens will enable Tianneng Battery to take full advantage of solutions from the Siemens Xcelerator portfolio of industry software, including Teamcenter software for Product Lifecycle Management, Opcenter software for Manufacturing Operations Management and Simcenter software for virtual simulation and test.
This solution and associated digital thread will enable Tianneng to achieve a fully transparent closed-loop management across its entire manufacturing process, encompassing process management, plant management, logistics supply chain management and design R&D management.
