Vinfast India’s Best-Selling Model in Q1 FY2027 is Seven-Seater Limo Green MPV
With 2,746 units, the seven-seater Green Limo all-electric fleet car accounted for 46% of Vinfast India’s total wholesales of 6,001 units in the April-June 2026 quarter, substantially more than the VF7 and VF6 e-SUVs and the MPV7.
Vinfast Auto India, the local arm of the Vietnamese electric vehicle major VinFast, has registered wholesales (factory dispatches) of 6,001 units in the first three months of FY2027. As per the Q1 FY2026 passenger vehicle wholesales numbers released by apex industry body SIAM, Vinfast India’s first-quarter sales comprised 1,714 units in April, 2,359 units in May and 1,928 units in June. Vahan data for the EV maker’s retail sales (customer deliveries) in Q1 FY2027 shows 4,060 units including a monthly high of 1,445 units in June 2026.
Interestingly, the 7-seater Limo Green commercial fleet car, priced at around Rs 19 lakh and launched earlier this year as the third model in Vinfast India’s EV portfolio after the VF6 and VF7 e-SUVs, is Vinfast India’s highest-selling model in Q1 FY2027. At 2,746 units, the Vinfast Limo Green accounted for 46% of the company’s PV/UV wholesales of 6,001 units in Q1 FY2027.
The next best-selling model is the VF7 e-SUV (1,703 units / 28% share), followed by the VF6 e-SUV (1,194 units / 20% share) and the MPV7 (358 units / 6% share). As the model-wise data table below reveals, the Limo Green fleet car has seen month-on-month growth as compared to the VF7 or the VF6. Demand for the MPV7 has risen month on month.

Limo Green was Vinfast India’s highest selling model in each of the three months in Q1 FY2027. The 2,746 units give it a 46% share of the EV OEM’s sales of 6,001 units, ahead of the VF7, VF6 and MPV7.
The Limo Green, which is tapping demand for electric people-movers both in India and overseas markets, is retailed through Vinfast’s Green SM global all-electric mobility brand which made India its fifth international market after Vietnam, Laos, Indonesia and the Philippines. Apex Indian automobile body SIAM lists the Limo Green and the recently launched Vinfast MPV7 under its ‘UV3’ category for vehicles with a length of over 4700mm and priced below Rs 20 lakh.
With the Limo Green, which marked Vinfast’s foray into the Indian commercial vehicle segment, the company joined the list of mass-market carmakers offering fleet-specific models, including Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors, Toyota and Hyundai. The Green Limo, whose sales first commenced in key areas of Delhi-NCR, is now retailed also in Pune, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Chennai.

The VF7 and the VF6 e-SUVs, which have achieved 5-star Bharat NCAP crash test safety ratings, have a combined share of 48% of Vinfast India’s sales in Q1 FY2027.
VF7 e-SUV Registers More Demand than the VF6
The VF7 e-SUV (1,703 units) has a 28% share of model-wise wholesales in Q1 FY2027. The VF7’s highest monthly sales were in May (673 units) but sales declined 27% MoM to 493 units in June (493 units). The VF7, the premium e-SUV in the Vietnamese manufacturer’s Indian line-up, is priced between Rs 21.89 lakh and Rs 26.79 lakh and rivals the Mahindra XEV 9e, Mahindra XEV 9S and Tata Harrier EV. This Vinfast e-SUV is available with either a 59.6kWh or 70kWh battery pack option with an ARAI-claimed range of up to 532km. It does a 0-100kph run in 5.8 seconds, which is the quickest in its segment.
The VF6 (1,194 units) is ranked third in terms of sales in Q1 FY2027. Like the VF7, May (532 units) was its best performance in the last quarter, with dispatches dropping 51% MoM to 261 units in June. The VF6, priced from Rs 17.29 lakh to Rs 19.19 lakh (ex-showroom), is the company’s most affordable EV in India and is positioned below the VF7. It comes with a 59.6kWh battery pack mated with either a 177hp or a 204hp electric motor, depending on the chosen variant. It offers a front-wheel-drive (FWD) setup and accelerates from 0-100kph in 8.9 seconds. Rivals to the VF6, which has a claimed range of 463km-480km, include the Hyundai Creta Electric, Mahindra BE 6, MG ZS EV, Toyota Ebella, Maruti e Vitara, and the recently launched Tata Sierra EV. Both the VF6 and VF7 e-SUVs have achieved 5-star Bharat NCAP crash test safety ratings.
The single-variant VF MPV7, priced at Rs 24.49 lakh (ex-showroom) and launched on April 15, has clocked sales of 358 units in the past three months. The MPV7 comes with a 60.13kWh battery pack and has an ARAI-rated range of 517km. This three-row, all-electric MPV has the Kia Carens Clavis and the BYD eMax 7 as its main rivals.
Vinfast India, which is currently seeing the bulk of its sales come from the Green Limo commercial EV, will be looking to achieve higher sales traction when it launches the VF5 hatchback later this year, likely around the festive season. The VF5 is likely to go head-to-head against the Tata Tiago EV or Punch EV, depending upon its specifications.
The company, whose dealer network currently spans over 50 outlets, plans to set up 75 dealerships by the end of the year across more than 60 cities in India. This expansion strategy will not only focus on metro cities and major urban hubs but also extend to emerging markets. Since its market entry in India last year, Vinfast has delivered a total of 7,781 EVs to buyers in the country till July 28, 2027. Will demand pick up faster for Vinfast, which plans to launch two new products each year and has positioned itself as a brand offering premium mass-market EVs with good value, in the coming months in India’s competitive e-PV market?
