TVS iQube Rides Past 800,000 Sales, 100,000 Units Sold in 3 Months
Launched in January 2020, the TVS iQube takes six years to hit the 800,000 sales milestone. While the first 300,000 unitswere sold in 52 months, the next 500,000 took 20 months including 105,357 units in October-December 2025. FY2026 will see the iQube hit 300,000 wholesales for the first time in a fiscal.
The TVS iQube, TVS Motor Co’s first-ever and flagship electric scooter, has surpassed the 800,000 wholesales milestone in the domestic market. This latest milestone was achieved in end-December 2025 when the company dispatched 35,177 units, making it the fourth month in a row that 30,000-plus iQubes were transported to TVS dealers across India.
As per SIAM e-2W data statistics, total factory dispatches (wholesales) from market launch in January 2020 are 824,181 units. TVS has also exported 4,045 iQubes to overseas markets. Total iQube production from FY2020 till December 2025 is 831,263 units (see data table below).
While the first 100,000 iQube sales in India took a little over three years, the run from 100,000 to 200,000 iQubes was achieved in far less time – just 10 months. The 300,000-unit wholesales milestone was surpassed in early April 2024, 52 months after launch. The real growth has come after that. The run from 300,001 to 700,000 units took just 17 months but the accelerated wholesales ride from 700,001 to 800,000has taken just three months (October-December 2025), which reflects the sustained and surging demand for the TVS flagship e-scooter.
TVS iQube has taken exactly 6 years from launch in January 2020 to cross the 800,000 milestone. The October-December 2025 quarter saw record wholesales of 105,357 units, up 41% YoY.
The iQube was launched in January 2020 as a fine blend between practicality and performance, equipped with full LED lights, connected tech and positioned as a family e-scooter with a wide seat and decent storage space. The zero-emission scooter has taken 72 months or exactly six years to achieve the 800,000 sales milestone. As the data table above depicts, demand has zoomed in the past three fiscal years, accelerating rapidly from FY2024.
TVS had a cracker of a fiscal in FY2025, which saw the Chennai-based two-wheeler major register record sales of 1.81 million scooters (18,13,103 units, up 25% YoY) comprising the petrol-engined Jupiter, NTorq and Zest and the electric iQube. While this stellar performance gave TVS a 26% market share and helped it contribute strongly to the India Scooter Inc’s record 68,53,214 sales in FY2025, the TVS iQube with 272,605 units contributed 15% to TVS scooter sales.
In the current fiscal’s first nine months, TVS has registered wholesales of 253,130 iQubes, which marks 28% YoY growth (April-December 2024: 197,870 iQubes) and accounts for 15% of TVS’ scooter sales of 16,77,313 units in April-December 2025, up 26% YoY. The iQube’sstrong sales have helped TVS achieve a scooter market share of 29% in April-December 2025, up from the 25% it hada year ago and its highest to date. TVS’ scooter portfolio also includes the petrol-engined Jupiter, NTorq and Zest, which sold 14,24,183 units, up 26 YoY (April-December 2024: 11,32,390 units).

While retail sales will cross 800,000 units soon, the iQube, which has averaged monthly dispatches of 35,119 units in Oct-Dec 2025, will hit the 300,000 mark for the first time in a fiscal in FY2026.
iQUBE RETAIL SALES CROSS 750,000; WHOLESALES TO EXCEED 300,000 IN FY2026
While wholesales statistics are essentially factory dispatches to company dealerships across the country, retail sales constitute the real-world story. As per Vahan retail sales data, a total of 765,350iQubes have been sold in India since January 2020 till January 24, 2026. Bajaj Auto, which launched its Chetak in the same month (January 2020) as the TVS iQube, has sold 585,447 units in the same period.
CY2025 turned out to be the TVS iQube’s best calendar year for retail sales (299,137 units) but missed the 300,000 mark by a whisker – just 863 units! Now FY2026 bids fair to be the best-ever fiscal year for the TVS EV in terms of wholesales. Nine months into the current fiscal, TVS Motor Co has dispatched 253,130 units (up 28% YoY) to its dealers across India, 19,475 unitsshort of its FY2025 total (272,605 units). This difference will have already been bridged and surpassed in the first three weeks of January 2026.
What has given iQube sales a boost is TVS Motor Co slashing prices by up to Rs 26,000 due to GST 2.0 and also increasing the battery capacity of some variants. The battery capacity of the base variant of the MY2025 iQube, iQube S and iQube ST has been increased by 0.1 kWh and the TVS flagship e-scooter now has a claimed riding range of 145km per charge.
The iQube S and iQube ST come with a fast 950W charger, which means a 0-80% top-up takes just three hours. While the S variant (Rs 140,000) receives a 0.1 kWh bump up to 3.5 kWh, the lower version of the higher-spec ST iQube also gets the same 3.5 kWh battery pack upgrade. The higher ST variant now houses a 5.3 kWh battery, up 0.2kWh, and is priced at Rs 159,000.
As a result of surging demand, iQube has seen a strong rise in factory dispatches which has crossed 30,000 units for the past four months (see April-December 2025 wholesales data table above). In fact, they hit a new monthly high in November (38,191 units), with Q3 FY2026 (October-December 2025) witnessing average monthly wholesales of 35,119 units.
The fourth quarter of this fiscal is still to be counted and given a similar sales momentum, it can be surmised that the iQube will achieve the 300,000-unit wholesales milestone for the first time in FY2026. This would also translate into India’s best-selling e-scooter crossing the 900,000 sales mark.
