Global alliance partners Renault and Nissan have restructured their partnership and also carved out an India business revival strategy that focuses on EVs as one of its key pillars of growth in this decade. The companies will introduce their new range of SUVs in India starting 2025, and will then explore an entry-level, A-segment EV, based on a new, dedicated EV platform.
Ashwani Gupta, COO, Nissan Motor Corporation talks about how the alliance partners will start working on heavy localisation of EV components in India to achieve cost competitiveness. Gupta further presses the cause of ground-up EV architectures to cater to evolving consumer requirements.
