Attron Automotive, an auto component start-up specialising in electric motors and controllers, is pioneering the development of a magnet-free motor. This innovation aims to decrease India's reliance on imports for crucial magnet components.

Udhay Singh, the Co-founder and COO of Attron Automotive, speaking with Autocar Professional at the InnerCircle Pune session, sheds light on the journey so far, emphasising challenges such as testing facility limitations and the struggle to acquire talent with updated skillsets, due to the lack of relevant courses in colleges and universities.

Singh also reveals the company's strategic plans to diversify beyond its current core portfolio. The company is set to expand into EV chargers and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), aiming to establish itself as a full-fledged automotive component manufacturer.
