Uber introduces its premium ride service, Uber Black
Uber launches Uber Black, offering high-end vehicles, top-rated drivers, and personalized features like quiet mode and temperature control, catering to customers seeking a more comfortable and flexible on-demand mobility service in India.
Uber, a ridesharing platform in India, announced the launch of its premium ride service, Uber Black. This new offering aims to meet the increasing demand for upscale mobility options, providing a higher level of comfort, convenience, and service.
Uber Black features brand new, higher-end vehicles to maintain consistent quality. Riders will be driven by top-rated drivers who have undergone additional training from Uber's fleet partners. The in-app booking process prioritises passenger comfort, allowing for personalised experiences, such as quiet mode, temperature control, and assistance with luggage. Riders can also enjoy a 5-minute pickup window without incurring waiting fees, offering greater flexibility.
Passengers using Uber Black will experience in-car amenities and options for customizing their trip. For instance, riders can request a quiet trip to focus on work or adjust the car's cooling before entering. These features are designed to create a more personalised and convenient ride, making it easier for drivers to provide a high-quality experience.
Prabhjeet Singh, President of Uber India and South Asia, commented on the launch, stating that Uber Black was reintroduced to cater to the evolving preferences of Indian customers. The service is positioned as a business-class option, offering consistent service and premium comfort.
To book an Uber Black trip, users can enter their destination in the Uber app, select Uber Black, choose their trip preferences, review the booking details, and confirm the ride.
