Indian multinational automaker Mahindra & Mahindra has announced a landmark export deal to supply 35,000 Scorpio Pik Up vehicles to Indonesia in 2026, marking the company's largest-ever export order.

The vehicles will be delivered to Agrinas Pangan Nusantara, an Indonesian state-owned enterprise, as part of the Koperasi Desa/Kelurahan Merah Putih (KDKMP) Project. The order exceeds Mahindra's total export volume from the previous fiscal year.

The Scorpio Pik Up units will be deployed to support cooperatives across Indonesia, facilitating the transport of agricultural produce from farms to markets. The initiative aims to strengthen supply chain logistics at the village level and support the country's food security objectives.

According to Nalinikanth Gollagunta, CEO of Mahindra's Automotive Division, the partnership addresses critical logistical needs in rural Indonesia. "The Scorpio Pik Ups are engineered to perform in tough conditions while keeping operating costs to a minimum," Gollagunta stated.

The vehicles, manufactured at Mahindra's Nashik plant, are designed to handle challenging terrain including rural roads and farm tracks. They will serve dual functions within the cooperative network: transporting produce from farms to collection points and facilitating goods movement within the cooperative system.

The deal represents a significant expansion of Mahindra's international operations. Founded in 1945, Mahindra Group operates in over 100 countries with 324,000 employees and maintains leadership positions in farm equipment and utility vehicles globally.

Deliveries of the 35,000 single-cab Scorpio Pik Up units are scheduled throughout 2026, supporting Indonesia's broader agricultural modernization efforts.
