Atul Auto Appoints Dr. K. C. Vora as Independent Director
Dr. Vora currently serves as Program Director – Automotive Centre of Excellence at NAMTECH.
Atul Auto Limited has appointed Dr. K. C. Vora as an Additional Director in the capacity of a Non-Executive Independent Director, effective March 15, 2026. The decision was taken at a meeting of the company’s Board of Directors held on March 14, 2026, following the recommendation of its Nomination and Remuneration Committee.
According to the company’s disclosure to stock exchanges, Dr. Vora will serve a three-year term as an Independent Director. The appointment is subject to shareholder approval as required under applicable regulatory provisions.
Dr. Vora currently serves as Program Director – Automotive Centre of Excellence at NAMTECH, located at the research park of Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar. He brings more than four decades of experience across the automotive industry and academia.
During his career, he has worked with organisations including Walchandnagar Industries, Emitec, Mahindra & Mahindra and the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI). At ARAI, he served as Senior Deputy Director and Head of the ARAI Academy before retiring in 2021.
Dr. Vora is also associated with the Automotive Skills Development Council (ASDC) as a consultant and currently chairs its Expert Group for Electric Vehicles.
Over the course of his career, Dr. Vora has authored more than 120 technical papers and four books, and holds four patents. He has also been closely associated with BAJA SAEINDIA for more than two decades, contributing to automotive education and student engineering initiatives in the country.
His academic qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Birla Vishvakarma Mahavidyalaya, a Master’s degree in Automotive Engineering from Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute, and a Ph.D. from Indian Institute of Technology Bombay.
The appointment comes as Atul Auto continues to strengthen its governance structure while expanding its presence in the three-wheeler and alternative mobility segments.
