Video: Yulu’s IPO Plan - ₹1,500 Cr Revenue Target, PAT Profitability & $93 Mn Fundraise
Yulu is preparing for its next big phase of growth and potentially, the public markets.
In a conversation with Autocar Professional's Prerna Lidhoo, Amit Gupta, Co-founder & CEO, Yulu, talks about the company’s $93 million fundraise, its path to profitability and the metrics that will determine when it is ready for an IPO. Gupta says Yulu is targeting ₹1,200–1,500 crore in revenue before pursuing a mainboard listing, while the company expects to become PAT positive next year. He explains why Yulu’s IPO will be driven by value creation rand not hype.
The conversation also covers Yulu’s plans to build a 200,000-strong EV fleet in two years, expand from 12 to 20 cities, and scale its battery-swapping network through Yuma. Gupta expects Yuma to eventually handle 500,000–600,000 battery swaps a day.
He also discusses Yulu’s growing dependence on quick commerce, with almost half of its revenue coming from the segment, the launch of Yulu Express, future opportunities in bike taxis and e-commerce, and why the company sees trust, reliability, technology and infrastructure as its biggest competitive moats.
