In Conversation with MSIL's CV Raman

India's largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki India (MSIL) has introduced its flagship model - Invicto - an MPV which is based on the Toyota Innova HyCross. The company has positioned the Invicto to cater to aspirational and discerning buyers looking for a comfortable, tech-loaded product. 

CV Raman, Chief Technical Officer, MSIL talks about how the company is witnessing strong uptake of hybrid technology, with the demand particularly driven by customers conscious about fuel efficiency as well as the environment. Raman reiterated the carmaker's multi-technology approach towards sustainability with a focus on flex-fuel vehicles, CNG, CBG, as well as electrification. With an increasing foray of ADAS features in new cars, Raman also revealed that MSIL is extensively testing the technology on Indian roads, and is preparing a roadmap that considers relevant functionality of this life-saving technology.
