In Conversation with BorgWarner's Chandrasekar Krishnamurthy and Dwarka Simili

American Tier-1 automotive components major BorgWarner is bullish about India's role as the company transitions towards electrified propulsion systems, and eyes a major share of its revenues from electrification by 2030.

On July 15, BorgWarner inaugurated a high-voltage test lab at its India Propulsion Engineering Centre in Bengaluru to undertake end-to-end development and validation of 400-800V inverters, DC-DC converters, e-drives, and e-motors, under its power-drive systems domain. In this exclusive conversation, Chandrasekar Krishnamurthy, Global Engineering Director, and Dwarka Simili, Head, India Propulsion Engineering Centre, BorgWarner talk about how India, with its software prowess and cost-effective engineering capabilities, is acting as a key pillar in enabling BorgWarner realise its future growth potential.

The country is driving software, electronics, and platform engineering for global projects in the US, Europe, and Asia Pacific for BorgWarner, which is also collaborating with OEMs in India to design and develop a flexible, efficient, and robust portfolio.
