According to Nitin Jirafe, VP, Engine Business, Cummins India, and MD, Tata Cummins, "The transition to green energy will not be a 'light switch event'. In this conversation, Jirafe outlines how the company is balancing diesel’s dominance with a zero-emission future.
At the core of Cummins’ strategy is its HELM philosophy—High Efficiency, Low Emissions Multi-Propulsion—ensuring that even traditional diesel platforms, which boast high localisation levels, remain relevant in a greener future. But the long -term game is clear: Net Zero by 2050. Hence, Cummins is actively investing in hydrogen, battery, and fuel cell technologies.
