VinFast Auto India has signed a strategic partnership with BatX Energies to establish comprehensive battery recycling and repurposing services for the electric vehicle manufacturer's operations in India. The agreement was announced on July 11, 2025, from Gurugram.

Under the partnership, BatX Energies will provide high-voltage battery recycling, material recovery, and repurposing services for VinFast India's factory and after-sales operations. The process will recover critical materials including lithium, cobalt, and nickel, which will be reintegrated into the battery production cycle.

The collaboration aims to reduce dependence on mining and lower environmental impact through resource circularity. BatX will ensure traceability of raw materials and battery recycling processes as part of the agreement.

VinFast is preparing to launch its first two products in India: the VF 6 and VF 7 electric SUVs. The company is advancing operations at its Thoothukudi plant while expanding dealership networks, service capabilities, and charging infrastructure across the country.

The partnership extends beyond immediate recycling needs to include future collaboration on second-life applications, urban mining, and strategic material recovery. The agreement supports both India's and Vietnam's development of circular economy solutions in the electric vehicle sector.

VinFast Auto India is a subsidiary of VinFast, which trades on NASDAQ under the symbol VFS. The parent company, owned by Vietnam's Vingroup JSC, manufactures electric SUVs, e-scooters, and e-buses with operations across No
