VECV Signs Partnership Deal with Statiq to Expand EV Charging Access

VE Commercial Vehicles has entered into a partnership with EV charging solutions provider Statiq to expand charging infrastructure access for its electric truck and bus customers. The companies signed a memorandum of understanding on Tuesday to integrate Statiq's network of over 8,000 charging points into VECV's MyEicher fleet management application.

Under the agreement, Statiq will serve as a preferred partner for supplying and installing AC and DC chargers for VECV's electric commercial vehicles. The partnership targets customers using Eicher's electric truck and bus range, including the recently launched Eicher Pro X series of small commercial vehicles.

The collaboration will provide VECV customers access to charging stations across India through the MyEicher app, which offers real-time station visibility, navigation assistance, and pricing information. Both companies plan to introduce promotional offers and preferential tariffs for Eicher vehicle operators as part of the arrangement.

VECV Senior Vice President for Sales and Marketing Abhishek Chaudhary said the partnership aims to strengthen India's commercial EV ecosystem by delivering integrated solutions through the MyEicher platform. Statiq CEO and Founder Akshit Bansal described the collaboration as a step toward creating an efficient charging ecosystem for commercial vehicles.

The companies will establish joint support services including call center access, service ticket management, and maintenance services. Statiq will also identify charging locations with adequate infrastructure and parking space for commercial vehicles on the MyEicher platform.

The partnership includes plans for turnkey charging station projects covering installation, operations, and maintenance. The companies will explore shared infrastructure options, mobile charging services, and revenue-sharing arrangements for partners hosting charging stations.

VE Commercial Vehicles operates as a joint venture between Sweden's Volvo Group and India's Eicher Motors, established in 2008. The company manufactures Eicher trucks and buses for 40 countries, distributes Volvo vehicles in India, and produces engines for the Volvo Group.

Statiq operates charging infrastructure across 65 cities in India and provides access to charging services from multiple providers through its mobile application. The company has announced plans to install 20,000 charging points across India by 2025 to meet growing demand for electric vehicle charging services.

India's commercial vehicle electrification has gained momentum as logistics companies and fleet operators seek alternatives to diesel-powered vehicles. The partnership comes as the government promotes electric vehicle adoption through policy incentives and infrastructure development programs.
