VECV presents 3 new bus models at Prawaas 4.0

VE Commercial Vehicles showcased its latest bus models at Prawaas 4.0. The company displayed the upgraded Volvo 9600 Coach, the electric Eicher Skyline Pro-E 13.5m Intercity Coach, and the Eicher Skyline Pro 3010 School Bus.

VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd. (VECV), a joint venture between the Volvo Group and Eicher Motors, has displayed its latest range of buses at PRAWAAS 4.0. The company showcased several vehicles, including the Volvo 9600 coach, the electric Eicher Skyline Pro-E 13.5 m monocoque Intercity coach, and the Eicher Skyline Pro 3010 School bus.

VECV states that its product range aligns with the Indian government's vision for a modern and sustainable public transport system. The company offers vehicles for various applications, from budget to premium travel segments.

Vinod Aggarwal, MD & CEO of VECV, commented on the company's contribution to the government's vision for people mobility in Viksit Bharat. Suresh Chettiar, Executive Vice President of the Bus Division at VECV, emphasized the company's commitment to delivering "passenger-centric" solutions to fleet operators across India.

The Volvo 9600 Coach, available in both seater and sleeper versions, features upgrades aimed at enhancing passenger comfort and safety for intercity travel. It includes features such as soft-touch interiors, individual infotainment systems, and improved ambient lighting.

The Eicher Skyline Pro-E 13.5 m Intercity Electric coach is described as a monocoque platform designed for intercity travel. It features a silent driveline, ergonomic seats, and automatic temperature control.

The Eicher Skyline Pro 3010 School bus is part of Eicher's premium range of school buses. It includes new features such as AMT (Automated Manual Transmission) and various safety systems like FAPS (Fire Alarm and Protection System) and FDSS (Fire Detection and Spray Suppression System).

VECV reports that its vehicles are supported by connected fleet technology and an Uptime Center, which the company states can help improve productivity and efficiency for bus operators.
