VE Commercial Vehicles total sales up 35% in March at 11,906 units

VE Commercial Vehicles, a Volvo Group and Eicher Motors joint venture, recorded a 35.2 percent increase in total sales at 11,906 units in March 2023 as compared to 8,803 units in the same month year ago. 

This includes 11,677 units of Eicher brand and 229 units of Volvo brand, the company said in a release. 

Sales of Eicher branded trucks & buses stood at 11,677 units in March 2023 as compared to 8,581 units in March 2022 representing a growth of 36.1 percent.

In the domestic CV market, Eicher branded trucks & buses have recorded sales of 11,263 units in last month as compared to 7,929 units in March 2022, up 42 percent.

On the exports front, Eicher branded trucks & buses have recorded sales of 414 units in during the month under review as compared to 652 units in March 2022, representing a decline of 36.5 percent.

Volvo Trucks and Volvo Buses have recorded sales of 229 units in March 2023 as compared to 222 units in March 2022, representing a growth of 3.2 percent.
