Varroc Introduces VRLA Batteries for Two-Wheelers in the Aftermarket Segment
The company expands its aftermarket offerings with new maintenance-free VRLA batteries, targeting a wide range of two-wheelers and backed by a 48-month pro-rata warranty and paperless service process.
Varroc, a global Tier-1 automotive components manufacturer, has announced the launch of its new range of VRLA (Valve Regulated Lead Acid) batteries in the Indian two-wheeler aftermarket. This marks the Aftermarket division’s entry into the battery segment, aiming to meet the growing need for reliable and efficient energy solutions among India’s vast two-wheeler user base.
The newly launched Varroc Batteries are designed using VRLA technology to offer long-term performance, minimal maintenance, and user convenience. Available in capacities ranging from 2.5AH to 9AH, the batteries are compatible with most major motorcycle and scooter models in the country. Their fully sealed, maintenance-free design eliminates the need for water top-ups, making them a practical choice for daily riders.
To ensure wide market coverage and accessibility, Varroc will distribute these batteries through its extensive nationwide network comprising around 730 distributors and 50,000 retailers. The batteries are backed by a 48-month pro-rata warranty, with a completely paperless process for warranty claims and service, aiming to deliver a seamless customer experience.
The batteries are engineered with features such as a low self-discharge rate of 0.003V per day, which helps maintain reliable performance even after extended periods of non-use. They are built for a service life of over four years and use 99.99% pure active material along with a calcium alloy to reduce corrosion and improve overall performance. Additionally, they are constructed with premium Absorbent Glass Mat (AGM) and a narrow rib grid structure, offering durability suited to challenging road conditions across India.
The product range includes models like 2.5LC, VTZ4, VTZ4A, VTZ5, V5LB, V7LB, V9LB, and VTZ9, with capacities ranging from 2.5AH to 9AH.
Founded in 1988, Varroc Engineering Ltd. is a global Tier-1 automotive component supplier. The company provides a wide range of solutions including e-mobility systems, body parts, lighting, HMI components, internal combustion engine (ICE) powertrain systems, and advanced electronics.
