Uno Minda Appoints Ravi Mehra as Managing Director, Strengthens Board with Strategic Appointments

Leadership and governance overhaul will be effective on April 1, 2025.

Uno Minda Appoints Ravi Mehra as Managing Director, Strengthens Board with Strategic Appointments

Uno Minda Limited, a global Tier-1 supplier of proprietary automotive systems and solutions to OEMs, has announced the appointment of Ravi Mehra as Managing Director, effective April 1, 2025. The move is part of a broader strategic restructuring of its leadership and Board of Directors.

Ravi Mehra, currently Deputy Managing Director, is being elevated and appointed as Managing Director, assuming responsibility for the company’s operations and management. A fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and the Institute of Company Secretaries of India, Mehra brings over three decades of extensive experience and deep industry knowledge to his new role, having played a crucial part in Uno Minda’s remarkable growth journey since his joining in 1995.

As part of the restructuring, Uno Minda is separating the roles of Chairman and Managing Director. Nirmal Kumar Minda will transition to Executive Chairman, focusing on strategic direction, business oversight, mentoring the leadership team, and championing employee development and well-being across the organization. He will continue to guide the team towards achieving the group’s vision of building a sustainable organisation.

To further enhance the Board’s diversity and expertise, the company has also announced the appointment of four new members: Shekar Viswanathan joins as Independent Director. He brings over four decades of diverse experience, having retired as Vice Chairman and Whole-time Director of Toyota Kirloskar Motors Private Limited.

Abhay Damle, a former Indian Revenue Service officer of the 1989 batch, also joins as Independent Director. He has served in key government roles including Joint Secretary of MoRTH and Director of the Central Institute of Road Transport, Pune.

Paridhi Minda and Pallak Minda join as Non-Executive Directors. Both have been associated with the Uno Minda Group since 2001 and bring valuable experience in management and entrepreneurship.
