Sedemac Crosses 5 Million Scooter Motor Controller Sales
The automotive supplier reaches major milestone 25 quarters after starting production of ISG ECUs and EV MCUs.
Sedemac Mechatronics announced that it has surpassed cumulative sales of 5 million motor controllers for scooters in October 2026.
The milestone covers sales of Integrated Starter Generator Electronic Control Units (ISG ECUs) and Electric Vehicle Motor Control Units (EV MCUs) supplied to OEMs across both domestic and international markets.
The Pune-headquartered auto component supplier began commercial production of scooter motor controllers in August 2020. The company crossed its initial milestone of 500,000 cumulative units in January 2023, 10 quarters after start of production, and subsequently achieved 1 million cumulative units sold in February 2024 after 14 quarters.
The latest 5 million unit mark was achieved in 25 quarters, driven by expanding adoption of silent starter-generator systems and EV powertrains among two-wheeler manufacturers.
