TVS Motor Company Limited has announced that cumulative global wholesale volumes for its commuter motorcycle line, the TVS HLX series, have surpassed 50 lakh units. The operational milestone was confirmed in a regulatory filing submitted to BSE on 5 June 2026.
First introduced in 2013, the motorcycle series was originally developed as an export-focused product line specifically engineered to target the developing transportation ecosystems of Africa. Over more than a decade of market presence, the displacement portfolio has expanded to encompass 100cc, 125cc, and 150cc engine variations designed to function as high-frequency commercial taxi options and rural cargo carriers. The displacement sub-variants currently include six distinct configuration models, including the HLX Plus, the HLX 150 X, and the five-gear HLX 125.
The low-maintenance commuter platform now maintains a structured commercial footprint extending across 57 countries, operating as a key last-mile connectivity asset within rural and semi-urban transit corridors spanning Africa, Latin America, and the Middle East. K N Radhakrishnan, Director and Chief Executive Officer of TVS Motor Company, stated that the long-term sales momentum achieved by the export series relies on establishing product durability benchmarks capable of protecting the daily profit margins of international fleet operators.
Peyman Kargar, President of International Business at TVS Motor Company, noted that the model functions as a central volume baseline for the firm in emerging markets characterized by low personal vehicle penetration indices.
