Texas Instruments Expands Rupee Purchasing as It Spotlights EV and ADAS Silicon at electronica India

Texas Instruments announced on Thursday that it has expanded direct Indian rupee purchasing options for domestic manufacturers to cover bulk orders through its backlog channel. The company completed the announcement along with more than 20 technology demonstrations at electronica India 2026 at the Bengaluru International Exhibition Centre.

The expanded rupee payment mechanism is designed to provide cost predictability and revised delivery terms for local original equipment manufacturers and component makers designing electronics across automotive, renewable energy, and industrial sectors. In the automotive domain, the semiconductor manufacturer is demonstrating solutions targeted at software-defined vehicles (SDVs) and commercial vehicle safety regulations.

Highlights include a 3D car wireframe displaying an SDV central compute setup capable of over-the-air firmware updates, zone control modules, real-time wheel-speed tracking, a 48V wiper assembly, and a Gallium Nitride (GaN)-enabled 48V audio amplifier.

Santhosh Kumar, Managing Director and President, TI India, said, "We have been part of India's semiconductor landscape for 40 years, and our commitment here has never been stronger. electronica India 2026 gives us the opportunity to connect directly with the engineers shaping India's next wave of innovation, building products that are smarter, safer and more energy efficient."
