Tata Motors total wholesales jumps by 4.9% in August 2023 (YoY)

HCV registered 14.4% growth, with 9,000 units sold during August 2023.

Mumbai-based Tata Motor's domestic commercial vehicle wholesales grew by 4.9% to 30,748 units during August 2023, as compared to a similar period last year when it registered 29,313 units, with almost all the segments except for SCV cargo and pickup witnessing gains.

As per the data released by the company, HCV registered 14.4% growth, with 9,000 units sold during August 2023 as against 7,865 units sold during the month of August 2022. Intermediate, light, and medium commercial vehicle (ILMCV) trucks, on the other hand, reported 5,207 unit sales in August 2023—a jump of 4% as against 4,968 units in August 2022. Passenger carriers recorded 2,986 unit sales in August 2023 as against 2,299 units in August 2022, which is a gain of 29.9%. The small commercial vehicle (SCV) cargo and pickup segment registered a drop of 4.4% to 13,555 units when compared with 14,181 units in July 2022.
