Tata Motors has extended its Lifetime High Voltage (HV) Battery Warranty to the Curvv.ev and Nexon.ev 45 kWh models, following the earlier introduction of this offering with the Harrier.ev. The warranty, which covers the battery for an unlimited number of kilometres, is applicable to all private individual customers who are first-time owners of these two models—both new buyers and current owners.

The move is aimed at addressing long-term concerns about battery performance and replacement costs, which have often been seen as barriers to electric vehicle adoption. By offering this warranty, Tata Motors seeks to enhance the overall ownership experience for EV buyers.

Vivek Srivatsa, Chief Commercial Officer at Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd., stated that the decision is part of the company’s approach to support EV ownership with practical long-term solutions. He highlighted that the assurance provided by such a warranty could contribute to strengthening consumer confidence in the segment.

In addition to the warranty, Tata Motors is offering a ₹50,000 loyalty benefit to existing TATA.ev customers purchasing either the Curvv.ev or Nexon.ev 45 kWh. The company believes this move could also support the resale value of electric vehicles and contribute to long-term cost savings, which it estimates to be around ₹8–9 lakh over a decade of ownership.
