Talbros Automotive revs up expansion as capacity hits peak
The company has taken up a new premise on rent in Chakan, in Pune and the supplies are expected to kick start beginning July or August. A capex of around Rs 20 crore has already been set aside for the same.
Talbros Automotive Components Ltd. aims to expand its operations as the auto component supplier's capacities hit 80-90% utlisation levels across various segments.
The company's Director and Group CFO said during a recent investor call, they were in the process of advancing in gasket and heat shield divisions. He added that the company has taken up a new premise on rent in Chakan, in Pune and the supplies are expected to kick start beginning July or August. A capex of around Rs 20 crore has already been set aside for the same .
In the forgings divisions, Juneja pointed out that they are enhancing capacity further in machinery and in some related equipments. The trials for it has already begun, with commercial production expected to start soon. The company anticiaptes a capex of around Rs 30 in this dvision.
Likewise, for Marelli, Juneja noted that capacities expansion is already underway in the premises adjacent to the existing plant. While the shed is expected to be ready by September-October, the orders are currently being places for machines. A capex of close to Rs 60-62 crore is expected to get incured on this division.
Furthermore, with regard to Marugo, the company expects a capex of around Rs 6 crore.
According to the company executive, the capacities for the gaskets divison has reached around 90%, while for the heat shield division and in forging division, it stands ar atound 82-85% depending on the product mix. Additionally, in Nippon, the capacity is no more there and in Marelli its is around 80%. Likewise, in Marugo Rubber which has two division- anti-vibration and hoses, in both of which the capacity utlisation is touching around 90%.
