Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited (SMIPL) closed FY 2025-26 with total sales of 14,39,415 units — the highest annual figure in the company's history — up from 12,56,155 units in FY 2024-25, a year-on-year increase of 15%. The result reflects growth across both domestic and export channels throughout the year, with several months recording above-average gains.

Domestic sales for the full year reached 11,74,874 units, compared to 10,45,662 units the previous year, a rise of 12%. Export volumes grew at a faster pace, climbing from 2,10,493 units to 2,64,541 units, an increase of 26%. Spare parts revenue also reached a record ₹10,434 million for the year, up 18% over FY 2024-25.

February Momentum Ahead of Year-End Close

The full-year result was underpinned by a period of strong monthly performance in the second half of the fiscal year. In February 2026, SMIPL reported total sales of 1,23,299 units, a 37% increase over the 89,966 units sold in February 2025. Domestic sales for the month stood at 1,01,071 units, up 38% from 73,215 units in the corresponding month of the previous year, while exports reached 22,228 units, a 33% rise over the 16,751 units shipped in February 2025.

Spare parts revenue in February 2026 came in at ₹893.6 million, an 18% increase over the previous year.

During February, the company launched an updated version of the Suzuki Access fitted with a single-channel Anti-Lock Braking System. It also expanded its retail network with the inauguration of a dealership in Dehradun and opened its first outlet in Gangtok, marking its entry into Sikkim. With these additions, SMIPL established a presence across all Indian states ahead of the fiscal year-end.

March and Year-End Performance

In March 2026, the final month of the fiscal year, SMIPL recorded total sales of 1,28,227 units, a 2% increase over the 1,26,164 units sold in March 2025. Domestic retail sales for the month grew 11% to 1,08,661 units, while exports came in at 22,830 units, up from 20,188 units in the same month last year. Domestic dispatches for March were 1,05,397 units, broadly in line with the 1,05,976 units dispatched in March 2025.

Deepak Mutreja, Vice President – Sales & Marketing at SMIPL, said FY 2025-26 had been a milestone year, with the company's performance reflecting sustained momentum across domestic and export markets. He attributed the results to customer trust in the brand and the efforts of dealer partners across the country, and added that the company would continue to focus on products and experiences aligned with evolving customer needs.

Product and Infrastructure Developments

Beyond sales volumes, FY 2025-26 saw a number of operational developments at the company. SMIPL crossed a cumulative production milestone of 10 million units manufactured in India since it began operations. It entered the electric vehicle segment with the launch of the Suzuki e-ACCESS, the brand's first electric scooter in the country, and added to its conventional lineup with the Suzuki Access with ABS and the Access Ride Connect TFT Edition.

The company also laid the foundation stone for a new manufacturing facility in Kharkhoda, Haryana, which is intended to expand production capacity to support future growth. By the end of the year, its retail network had grown to 1,240 outlets nationwide.

On the customer engagement side, SMIPL organised multiple events through the year, including editions of the Suzuki Matsuri motorcycling festival, the Suzuki Motofest campaign, V-Strom Experience Days, GIXXER Pit Stop events, and the Suzuki Access Mileage Contest held across several cities. The company also conducted its first V-Strom customer expedition to the Himalayas and set a record in the India Book of Records for a Suzuki Access scooter ride from Kuttanad in Kerala — described as India's lowest region — to Komic in Himachal Pradesh, one of the country's highest altitude villages.

SMIPL was established in February 2006 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation, Japan. It operates a manufacturing plant at Kherki Daula in Gurugram, Haryana, with an annual production capacity of 1.4 million units. The company produces 125cc scooters, motorcycles of 150cc and above, and premium big bikes for both the Indian market and export customers.
