Mahindra BLAZO i-TRK launched with 320hp engine, 48-hour uptime

Mahindra Truck and Bus has launched the BLAZO i-TRK, a new heavy commercial vehicle aimed at transporters and fleet operators. The truck is powered by Mahindra’s 7.2-litre, 320hp mPOWER engine and is offered with iMAXX 2.0 connected vehicle technology.

The BLAZO i-TRK is claimed to deliver up to 10 per cent better fuel efficiency, with Mahindra estimating potential additional profit of up to ₹15 lakh per truck over five years. The truck also comes with a 48-hour uptime guarantee under which customers are eligible for ₹10,000 per day if the vehicle is not returned to service within the committed period, subject to terms and conditions.
The new truck is available across variants and applications in three colours. Mahindra has positioned the BLAZO i-TRK around three areas — earning more through improved fuel efficiency, running more through higher vehicle availability and controlling more through connected fleet-management features.

Mahindra BLAZO i-TRK gets 320hp mPOWER engine

The BLAZO i-TRK uses Mahindra’s 7.2-litre mPOWER engine, which produces 320hp and 1,100Nm of torque between 1,100rpm and 1,700rpm. The engine is paired with a TurboMAXX turbocharger and OptiFuel air compressor, with the latter designed to reduce unnecessary power consumption from the engine.
The truck also gets iFuelSmart, described by Mahindra as an AI-enabled automatic drive mode for the heavy commercial vehicle segment. The system analyses road gradients, payload conditions and driving requirements to select the appropriate driving mode automatically.

BLAZO i-TRK gets 48-hour uptime guarantee

Mahindra’s service package for the BLAZO i-TRK includes a 48-hour uptime guarantee. The company says customers will receive ₹10,000 per day if an eligible vehicle is not put back on the road within the committed 48-hour period.

The truck is supported by Mahindra’s service-centre network and Quick Service Points, with mQSPs located within 75km on national highways and 50km on state highways. The company also offers a Parts Supply Guarantee covering 250 critical parts, under which eligible parts not supplied within the committed 24-hour period are provided free of cost.

iMAXX 2.0 adds connected fleet-management features

The BLAZO i-TRK gets Mahindra’s iMAXX 2.0 connected vehicle platform, which provides vehicle diagnostics, driver-behaviour monitoring, service management and fleet-related business insights. Features include remote AC management, remote vehicle crank inhibit, air-filter clogging alerts, DPF performance alerts and distance-to-empty monitoring.
An optional dealer-fitted Driver Monitoring System uses a two-way camera to monitor the road ahead and detect driver recognition, seat-belt usage and signs of fatigue or drowsiness. The truck also gets ScoreMAXX driver-performance analytics and FleetSense reports for fleet utilisation and vehicle-performance data.

The BLAZO i-TRK is also supported by Mahindra’s Now24x7 mobile application, which allows fleet operators to raise and track service requests, book appointments, access service history, request roadside assistance, order spare parts and monitor breakdown-van locations.

BLAZO i-TRK gets new cabin and driver-focused features

The truck features a three-way adjustable COMFiMAXX suspended seat, EzyCruise cruise control, a heavy-duty 430mm clutch and a factory-fitted AC cabin with Bluetooth-enabled entertainment and hands-free calling. The clutch is available on all nine-speed transmission models, according to Mahindra.

The BLAZO i-TRK also has factory-engineered provisions for Aero Kit installation, which Mahindra says are intended to improve aerodynamics and fuel efficiency while avoiding issues associated with conventional aftermarket modifications.

Commenting on the launch, Vinod Sahay, President – Trucks & Buses, Executive Chairman – SML Mahindra and Member of the Group Executive Board, Mahindra Group, said the freight and logistics sector is entering a phase where technology, reliability and operational efficiency will influence competitiveness. He added that the BLAZO i-TRK has the potential to increase profit by up to ₹15 lakh per truck over five years, alongside its uptime guarantee.
