STUDDS Nardo Grey Helmet Series Launched With 1,947 Units

STUDDS Accessories has launched a limited-edition Nardo Grey colour series across seven helmet models, with production capped at 1,947 units. The range has been introduced ahead of India's 80th Independence Day and is available in gloss and matt finishes.

The 1,947-unit production run references 1947, the year India gained independence. The Nardo Grey shade takes its name from the Nardo Ring high-speed test circuit in southern Italy and was first associated with the Audi R8 before becoming established in automotive and motorcycle design.

STUDDS has linked the colour to the grey tones used across India's defence forces, including the Su-30MKI, naval vessels and Army camouflage. The company is positioning the series as part of its Independence Day campaign, titled ‘The Colour of Honour’.

STUDDS Nardo Grey Helmet Series: Seven Models

The limited-edition series is available across seven models: Helios, Trooper, Ninja Elite Super, Drifter, Raider Super, Vogue and Ray Super. The range includes full-face, modular, flip-up and open-face helmets covering highway, mixed-use and urban riding applications.

Helios is a full-face helmet positioned for highway use, while Trooper features a modular design with a dual-visor mechanism. Ninja Elite Super uses a flip-up configuration, and Drifter is a full-face helmet with dynamic ventilation. Raider Super is a lightweight urban full-face model, while Vogue and Ray Super are open-face helmets.

STUDDS managing director Sidhartha Bhushan Khurana said the series was intended to draw on the aesthetics of India's defence forces and provide what the company described as world-class safety for motorcyclists.

STUDDS Nardo Grey Helmets Meet ISI/BIS Standards

All seven helmets in the Nardo Grey edition meet Indian Safety Standards (ISI/BIS), while two models also carry DOT certification. The helmets feature high-impact thermoplastic outer shells, regulated-density EPS liners, UV-resistant lacquer, breathable padding and quick-release micrometric chin-strap buckles, according to STUDDS.

The Nardo Grey series forms the product focus of STUDDS' Independence Day campaign, #TheColourOfHonour, which is being promoted across Instagram, Facebook and YouTube. The campaign also includes support for a group of riders travelling from Bihar to Nepal.

The 1,947 helmets are being distributed through authorised STUDDS dealers across India, with retail availability to follow. The company has also said the range will be available through its online store.
