Subros Limited Secures Rs 27 Crore Indian Railways Order
Auto component manufacturer to supply air-conditioning equipment for diesel electric locomotives in new railway contract.
Subros Limited, a leading manufacturer of automotive thermal products, has secured a significant order worth approximately Rs 27 crores from Indian Railways for the supply of cabin air-conditioning equipment in diesel electric locomotives.
The company, which was founded in 1985 as a joint venture between the Suri family of India, DENSO Corporation of Japan, and Suzuki Motor Corporation of Japan, announced the development through a regulatory filing on Friday. Subros specializes in manufacturing thermal products for automotive applications through technical collaboration with DENSO Corporation.
The newly secured contract requires Subros to supply complete AC loop and caters to all segments including passenger vehicles, buses, trucks, refrigeration transport, and railways. The company is already an established supplier of rail driver cabin and coach air-conditioning systems to Indian Railways.
Subros Limited operates as the only integrated manufacturing unit in India for auto air-conditioning systems. The company manufactures compressors, condensers, heat exchangers, and all connecting elements required for thermal management solutions.
This order aligns with the company's strategic direction to expand its business presence in the railway electric mobility segment. The contract reinforces Subros's position as a key supplier to Indian Railways' growing fleet of diesel electric locomotives.
The development was disclosed in compliance with SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
