STMicroelectronics unveils new organisational structure
The reorganisation involves splitting the company into two Product Groups.
STMicroelectronics, a global semiconductor leader, has announced its new organisation effective February 5th, 2024, aimed at boosting product development innovation, efficiency, and customer focus. The reorganisation involves splitting the company into two Product Groups: Analog, Power & Discrete, MEMS and Sensors (APMS) led by Marco Cassis, and Microcontrollers, Digital ICs, and RF products (MDRF) led by Remi El-Ouazzane.
Jean-Marc Chery, President and CEO of STMicroelectronics, highlighted the goal of increasing value extraction from the product and technology portfolio. The APMS Product Group will include ST analog products, Smart Power solutions for automotive, Power & Discrete product lines, Silicon Carbide products, MEMS, and Sensors. It will consist of two Reportable Segments: Analog products, MEMS, and Sensors (AM&S); Power and discrete products (P&D).
The MDRF Product Group will incorporate ST digital ICs, microcontrollers, including automotive microcontrollers, RF, ADAS, Infotainment ICs. MDRF will be divided into two Reportable Segments: Microcontrollers (MCU); Digital ICs and RF Products (D&RF). Concurrent with this reorganisation, Marco Monti, ST President of the former Automotive and Discrete Product Group, will be leaving the company.
To complement the existing Sales & Marketing organisation, STMicroelectronics will implement a new application marketing organisation by end market across all regions. Led by Jerome Roux, ST President, and member of the Executive Committee, this application marketing organisation will cover four end markets: Automotive, Industrial Power and Energy, Industrial Automation, IoT, and AI, and Personal Electronics, Communication Equipment, and Computer Peripherals. The current regional Sales & Marketing organisation will remain unchanged.
