Spinoto Launches 15-Minute On-Demand Mechanic Service in Ahmedabad
Vehicle service platform promises mechanics at customers' locations within 15 minutes through dark service stores and app-based system.
Spinoto, a new on-demand vehicle service platform, has commenced operations in Ahmedabad with a service model that aims to dispatch trained mechanics to customer locations within 15 minutes of booking.
The platform addresses vehicle servicing needs for two-wheelers, passenger cars, and electric vehicles through an app-based system connected to what the company calls "dark service stores." These facilities house mechanics, spare parts inventory, and standard tools required for common repairs and maintenance work.
When customers submit service requests through the Spinoto app, the system evaluates the reported issue, identifies necessary parts, and assigns the nearest available mechanic. This pre-diagnostic approach means mechanics arrive equipped with the components needed to complete repairs on-site, reducing time spent on diagnostics and parts sourcing.
"The App is designed to fill a variety of service needs, from breakdown assistance to minor repairs and routine maintenance, as well as providing basic EV service diagnostics," said Krunalsinh Rana, Founder of Spinoto. The platform's inclusion of electric vehicle diagnostics reflects the growing adoption of EVs in urban markets.
Spinoto's current focus is on refining operations in Ahmedabad, including service response times, technician readiness, and parts availability. The company has outlined plans for phased expansion to other Tier 1 cities such as Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi, and Hyderabad, though no specific timeline has been announced.
The company positions itself as building a broader vehicle ownership service ecosystem rather than operating solely as a repair platform.
