JSW Greentech Selects Siemens Xcelerator For Commercial EV Development
The digital platform will connect product engineering, lifecycle management and supplier collaboration across JSW Greentech’s commercial EV development and manufacturing operations in Maharashtra.
JSW Greentech has selected Siemens Xcelerator software to establish an integrated digital platform for the development and manufacturing of commercial electric vehicles (EVs) under its AMPSTAR brand. The implementation will connect engineering, product development and manufacturing processes across the company's research and development (R&D) centre in Pune and its upcoming greenfield manufacturing facility in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra.
Announced by Siemens on November 3, 2026, the initiative forms part of JSW Greentech's digital transformation strategy, which aims to establish a unified product lifecycle management (PLM) framework. The platform is expected to support the development of electric buses, trucks and other commercial mobility solutions while improving coordination between engineering, business and supplier functions.
JSW Greentech, incorporated in 2024, is the JSW Group's commercial electric vehicle business. The company is developing a manufacturing facility spread across approximately 90 acres at the Aurangabad Industrial City (AURIC) in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, supported by its R&D centre in Pune.
Siemens Teamcenter To Connect EV Engineering And Product Lifecycle Management
The implementation will include Siemens' Teamcenter product lifecycle management software and Mendix application development platform. Teamcenter will serve as the central product data management system, connecting engineering information, product structures and bills of materials (BOMs).
The software will also support requirements management, programme planning, engineering change management and collaboration across mechanical and electrical engineering teams. An integration with JSW Greentech's enterprise resource planning (ERP) system will enable the exchange of engineering and business data.
Mendix will be used to facilitate supplier and business process collaboration through a dedicated portal. This is intended to extend digital workflows beyond internal teams and provide suppliers with access to relevant product development processes.
JSW Greentech CEO Sumit Mittal said the PLM implementation is intended to connect different stages of the company's engineering and manufacturing operations, improve operational coordination and reduce development timelines for commercial electric vehicles.
Siemens Digital Industries Software India vice-president and managing director Mathew Thomas said the implementation would establish a digital framework connecting engineering, product lifecycle management and enterprise collaboration as JSW Greentech develops its commercial EV portfolio.
