Snap-E Cabs to train around 100 women cab drivers in collaboration with West Bengal govt

Snap-E Cabs will train and engage the first batch with 30 women drivers and 50-60 in the next 2 batches and take the overall count to about 100 in the next few months, in collaboration with the government of West Bengal.

The on-demand, app-based fleet of 100% Electric Vehicles, has tied up with the NPTC Group of Colleges, UK to implement a training programme under ‘Utkarsh Bangla’, a flagship scheme under the aegis of the Paschim Banga Society for Skill Development.

NPTC will bring UK’s expertise in operation and maintenance of electric cabs as well as develop skill-sets of EV drivers for maintaining optimal battery conditions while driving and improve efficiency of overall electric vehicle fleets. This is supported by the UK-India ‘Accelerating Smart Power and Renewable Energy in India’ (ASPIRE) programme.

"We believe that diversity is our strength, and by actively encouraging the inclusion of more women drivers, we are not just reshaping our workforce but contributing to a positive change in the industry," said Mayank Bindal, Founder and CEO, Snap E Cabs.
