Skoda Auto Volkswagen India Reshuffles Sales and Marketing Leadership
Jan Bures will move to a new role at Volkswagen AG from September, while Piyush Arora takes additional charge of sales and marketing in India.
Škoda Auto Volkswagen India Private Limited (SAVWIPL) has announced a leadership transition in its sales, marketing and digital division, with Executive Director Jan Bures set to move to a new role at Volkswagen AG from September 2026.
Following Bures' departure, Managing Director and CEO Piyush Arora will take on the additional responsibility of Executive Director – Sales and Marketing for the Group's India operations. The company said the revised leadership structure is intended to strengthen strategic alignment, accelerate decision-making and improve accountability across the organisation.
Bures will continue with the Volkswagen Group in his new assignment at Volkswagen AG after completing his global assignment in India.
Škoda Auto Volkswagen India oversees the Indian operations of six Volkswagen Group brands—Volkswagen, Škoda, Audi, Bentley, Lamborghini and Porsche. The company operates manufacturing plants at Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and Chakan, Pune, with a combined annual production capacity of 315,000 units. It has also exported more than 725,000 vehicles to over 40 countries and crossed the milestone of producing 2 million vehicles locally in 2025.
The company said it remains focused on the long-term potential of the Indian market, with continued emphasis on expanding its product portfolio and supporting both internal combustion engine and battery electric vehicle technologies.
