SKF Launches New Sustainable Solutions at ISEA Tech & Innovation Summit

SKF India showcased its latest range of sustainable bearing solutions and integrated service offerings at the second edition of the ISEA Tech & Innovation Summit. These developments are aimed at improving equipment performance, extending asset lifecycles, and supporting sustainability goals across industrial sectors including energy, cement, and heavy manufacturing.

Among the key product highlights was the SKF Energy Efficient Deep Groove Ball Bearing, designed for small industrial motors. This bearing reduces friction by more than 25%, improves motor efficiency, doubles bearing life, and contributes to a notable reduction in carbon emissions. It has been validated by several leading Indian OEMs.

For high-pressure grinding roll (HPGR) applications in mining and cement, SKF introduced sealed spherical roller bearings that significantly reduce grease usage—by up to 99%—and extend service life by three times, lowering maintenance frequency and operational costs. Four-row cylindrical roller bearings were also launched, featuring improved lubrication, enhanced wear resistance, and corrosion-protected components to better handle heavy radial loads and axial displacement.

SKF also presented spherical roller bearings tailored for slow-speed, high-load environments. These are suited for industries like power, cement, and textiles and are engineered to operate with reduced friction and cooler temperatures.

In the services segment, SKF introduced a combined platform for large-size bearings, which includes remanufacturing, AI-powered condition monitoring, and reliability solutions. These services have helped industrial users, such as those in the sugar industry, extend bearing life by up to 10 years and reduce lead time significantly.

The company’s latest offerings reflect its focus on delivering practical, field-ready solutions to enhance industrial sustainability and performance through a blend of engineering, data insights, and service integration.
