Simple Dot One launched at Rs 1.40 lakh; pre-bookings open from January 27

Priority pre-booking is offered to existing customers looking to switch from Simple One to Dot One at the same price from January 1, 2024 onwards.

Simple Energy,  an electric vehicle and clean energy startup, has launched its latest electric two-wheeler, the Simple Dot One, at a starting price of Rs 1,39,999 (ex-showroom Bangalore). This marks the second offering from Simple Energy, following the Simple One, as the company aims to broaden the accessibility of electric vehicle ownership across a diverse demographic in the country.

The Dot One is available for pre-booking from 27th January. Priority pre-booking is offered to existing customers looking to switch from Simple One to Dot One at the same price from January 1, 2024 onwards.

Key features
The Dot One promises a certified range of 151 km and is a complete Made-In-India product. The Dot One is offered in a single variant with four color options: Namma Red, Brazen Black, Grace White, and Azure Blue. It comes with a 750W charger and offers LightX and BrazenX color options. Equipped with a 3.7 kWh battery capacity and an 8.5 kW electric motor and delivering a peak torque output of 72 Nm, the Dot One accelerates from 0 to 40 kmph in 2.77 seconds.

Safety and tech
CBS, efficient disc brakes, and an expansive 35-liter under-seat storage contribute to the safety and practicality of the scooter. Furthermore, the Dot One features a user-friendly touchscreen instrument cluster with diverse functionality and seamless app connectivity for an enhanced riding experience.

Deliveries for the Dot One will commence in Bangalore initially and gradually expand to other cities in a phased manner. With its focus on performance, range, and affordability, Simple Energy aims to further accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles in India's rapidly evolving mobility landscape.
