Sikhar Fleet and Yamaha Subsidiary MBSI Partner to Build Vehicle Leasing Ecosystem in India

Sikhar Fleet, a Vehicle-as-a-Service provider, has entered into a partnership with Moto Business Service India (MBSI), a subsidiary of Yamaha Motor Co., to develop a structured vehicle leasing ecosystem in India, the companies announced on May 13, 2026, in New Delhi. The initiative targets ride-hailing platforms, mobility aggregators, gig economy drivers, and institutional fleet operators.

The partnership combines Sikhar Fleet's on-ground fleet operations with MBSI's capabilities in vehicle leasing, asset management, and financial services. The stated goal is to address gaps in India's vehicle leasing sector through standardised financial frameworks and technology-driven solutions.

By offering vehicles on transparent leasing terms, low upfront cost, and fixed payment structures, drivers will know exactly what they earn and what they pay. Our aim is to improve driver take-home income by reducing hidden costs and ensuring better vehicle uptime and support. With this model, a driver can start earning quickly and grow with confidence, instead of dealing with uncertain and informal rental systems," said Dharampal Jadoun, Co-Founder at Sikhar Fleet.

Sikhar Fleet currently operates over 100 cabs and plans to scale to 1,000-plus vehicles within 12 months, with a focus on electric vehicles. MBSI, established in March 2021, leases two-, three-, and four-wheeled vehicles across ICE, EV, and CNG categories to mobility service operators across segments including taxis, logistics, last-mile delivery, and employee transportation.
