Siam Hosts 7th CSR Conclave To Strengthen Industry Partnerships for Inclusive Development
The conclave brought together industry leaders, policymakers and civil society to discuss collaborative CSR models, sector-wide partnerships and structured approaches for community development and sustainable national growth.
The Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) organised the 7th SIAM CSR Conclave in New Delhi under the theme “CSR Partnerships – From Shared Vision to Shared Value,” bringing together industry representatives, policymakers, CSR professionals, NGOs and development experts to discuss collaborative approaches to social development and nation-building.
The opening session focused on the role of CSR as a national development catalyst, highlighting the automobile sector’s engagement with sustainability and community-oriented initiatives. SIAM representatives outlined how industry-led programmes are being aligned with broader social priorities such as health, sanitation, education and skill development. A screening of SIAM CSR initiatives and the release of the SIAM CSR Compendium showcased projects undertaken by member companies across different regions.
Discussions during the conclave addressed the evolution of CSR in India from philanthropic activities to structured, governance-led programmes with measurable outcomes. Speakers emphasised the importance of partnerships, technology-enabled monitoring, third-party evaluation and professionalisation of CSR practices to improve long-term impact.
The programme included thematic and panel sessions on education, corporate outreach and collaborative execution models, with participation from corporate leaders, academic institutions and civil society organisations. These sessions examined CSR pillars such as environmental rejuvenation, road safety, health and sanitation, and skills development, highlighting the need for coordinated action and scalable models.
The conclave concluded with the SIAM CSR Awards, recognising organisations and foundations for contributions across categories including education, healthcare, road safety and environmental initiatives. SIAM stated that such platforms are intended to support structured engagement between industry, government and civil society, while aligning CSR efforts with national development goals and sustainable mobility objectives.
