Yulu has crossed 1 billion kilometres of rides on its shared electric vehicle (EV) platform in Bengaluru, reflecting the rapid expansion of last-mile mobility solutions in the city.

The company currently operates a fleet of about 22,500 EVs in Bengaluru, catering to short-distance commuting as well as delivery services. According to company figures, the fleet facilitates close to 300,000 deliveries per day and has supported around 190 million deliveries since its launch in the city.

The development comes amid growing demand for quick-commerce and e-commerce logistics, where electric two-wheelers are increasingly being deployed for last-mile operations. Industry analysts point to this segment as a key driver of EV adoption in urban India, given its high utilisation rates and predictable routes.

The milestone highlights the growing role of shared EV platforms in addressing urban mobility challenges, particularly in cities grappling with congestion, pollution, and the need for cost-effective transport solutions.

Yulu estimates that its operations in Bengaluru have contributed to avoiding approximately 27 million kilograms of carbon dioxide emissions. While such estimates are based on internal methodologies, they align with broader efforts to position EV-based shared mobility as a cleaner alternative to conventional fuel-powered vehicles.

Beyond Bengaluru, the company operates in other major cities including Mumbai, Delhi-NCR and Hyderabad. Across these markets, it reports a combined fleet of roughly 46,000 EVs, which have collectively covered about 2 billion kilometres.

Yulu plans to expand its Bengaluru fleet to between 35,000 and 40,000 vehicles over the next year, in line with increasing demand from both commuters and delivery partners.
