Royal Enfield total sales up 25% in December, exports surge 90%

Domestic sales were up 19% on year.

Royal Enfield concluded December 2024 with total sales of 79,466 motorcycles, marking a 25% increase compared to the same period last year. The company's domestic sales reached 67,891 units, up 19% from 57,291 units in December 2023, while exports saw a 90% jump with 11,575 units compared to 6,096 units in the previous year. The year-to-date figures for 2024-25 show total sales of 727,077 units, representing a 6% growth over the 685,059 units sold in 2023-24.

B Govindarajan, CEO of Royal Enfield, said 2024 was a remarkable year for the company, and highlighted the successful launch of category-defining motorcycles and positive response in both Indian and international markets. The company is optimistic about maintaining its growth momentum in 2025 while continuing to inspire its global riding community through Pure Motorcycling initiatives.

Royal Enfield inaugurated its first fully owned and operated CKD assembly facility outside India in Samut Prakan, Bangkok. The new 57,000 sq. ft. facility, with an annual capacity exceeding 30,000 units, represents the company's sixth global CKD assembly unit, joining existing facilities in Argentina, Colombia, Brazil, Bangladesh, and Nepal.

The company has also expanded its pre-owned motorcycle business, REOWN, which now operates in 236 cities across India through 475 dealerships in 24 states. This initiative, launched in 2023, facilitates buying, selling, and exchanging pre-owned Royal Enfield motorcycles, and includes the company's first-ever loyalty program with exchange benefits.

Royal Enfield organized "Journeying Across the Himalayas," a 10-day festival in Delhi showcasing artworks, photographs, and installations celebrating the Himalayan landscape, its people, and culture.

The company's current product lineup includes its new electric vehicle brand, Flying Flea, featuring the Classic-styled Flying Flea C6 and Scrambler-styled Flying Flea S6, recently showcased in Milan. Other models include the Bear 650, Classic 650, Guerrilla 450 modern roadster, Hunter 350, Meteor 350, Super Meteor 650, Interceptor 650, Continental GT 650 twins, Shotgun 650, the new Himalayan adventure tourer, Scram 411 ADV Crossover, Bullet 350, Classic 350, and the new Goan Classic 350.

Royal Enfield, a division of Eicher Motors Limited, maintains a strong retail presence with over 2,000 stores across India and approximately 850 stores in more than 60 countries globally. The company operates two world-class technical centres in Bruntingthorpe, UK, and Chennai, India, along with two state-of-the-art production facilities at Oragadam and Vallam Vadagal near Chennai.
